Today we’ve announced that our ultra-compact VIA ARTiGO A1100 is now available in the Indian market through Shestra eTechnologies. To give Indian consumers a “hands on” look at the system, it will also be showcased at selected shopping centers in Mumbai and Delhi as part of an ‘Experiencing Zone for Taiwan Excellence and Taiwan International Brands’ tour that takes place from August to October this year. Coincidentally, PC World has just published a review of the VIA ARTiGO A1100, concluding: “If you're interested in a fun side project, VIA's Artigo A1100 has enough muscle to perform as a fairly capable media machine, as well as to tackle light productivity tasks.”

Here are a couple of snaps of the new VIA COME8X80 COM Express module that we announced earlier today. Based on the VIA VX800 chipset, the device supports a choice of 1.3+GHz or 800MHz VIA Nano E-Series processors and is targeted at IPC and larger OEM customers for a range of embedded segments including gaming, healthcare and industrial automation.

Unfortunately I was too busy to post updates on Computex last week, but I did manage to find enough time to take a few snaps of our booth at the Taipei International Convention Center.

One of the highlights of the booth was our first ever public demonstration of the VIA Nano Dual Core Platform, combining a 1.6GHz VIA Nano DC processor with the VIA VN1000 digital media chipset.

Just a few days left before Computex, and we’re busy making the final preparations for the event.
